Slammed fans will not be disappointed. This story succeeds so movingly, you don't have to be a CH fan or a young adult to appreciate it. In fact, the altruism and innocence embedded in the characterization is the book's most charming element. The H/h are the very essence of everything good that can come out of a terrible situation and your heart will bleed with compassion for them. The story effectively preserves the virtues and hopes of these sentimentally-strong characters, at the same time delivering a plot with so much damn backbone, you end up feeling punched in the gut with its dramatic power. The narration is delicate but precise. As it unfolds, you'll try to piece things together with difficulty. The anticipation is engrossing as you contemplate fate, chance, and the interwoven lives of everyone involved.Bottom line: This book is flawless. You won't just live it. You'll hopelessly love it.Note: This YA novel has three sex scenes and some might consider the subject matter and tone a bit darker than the Slammed series.
