Watch out Fifty Shades. This one might be better. Only the first book in the series, so too soon to tell. Similar characters, same plot, but Day's writing style is far cleaner than the lip-biting-Oh-Jeez that frustrated me in Fifty Shades. The female protagonist is multi-layered and possibly more tortured than her male counterpart. They make a poisonous pair of twisty dark character arcs. I sympathize with them. I want to unearth their secrets. And I'll continue to follow them despite all the sludge I get on my shoes.
